Electric Car: ZAP announces new EV sports car based on Lotus APX
US electric car manufacturer “ZAP” announced that it will present this week a new electric sports car based on a Lotus Engineering design. To take on “Tesla Motors” Roadster high-performance electric vehicle it is using the Lotus aluminum APX concept car as the platform and promises 644 horsepower / 155mph max speed by replacing Lotus’ APX’s conventional gasoline V6 engine with in-hub electric motors. By comparison, Tesla’s Roadster that is due for delivery the end of this year has 248 horsepower and a similar max speed. The company further says…

Electronic Paper: Getting ready for mass production
We have introduced Plastic Logic electronic paper products last year in “another article” and just recently they have received a USD 100 Million cash injection from investors to build a factory for mass production in Dresden, Germany until the end of 2007. On the same day competitor and Phillips incubator Polymer Vision announced in a “press release” that it will become an independent company - a first step to raise new capital expected to be in the region of about USD 100 Million as well.
