Global Warming: 2007 expected to be hottest year on record
Climate-change experts at the UK Met Office predict that 2007 is likely to be the warmest year on record globally, hotter than the current record set in 1998. The forecast points to the El Niño already established in the Pacific, that is expected to persist through the first months of 2007. Clean Energy: Solar Systems is building world biggest solar power station
Australian company Solar Systems today announced that it is going to build the biggest and most efficient solar photovoltaic power station in the world in north-west Victoria, Australia.
The power station is estimated to provide 154 MW into the national electricity grid - enough to meet the annual consumption of over 45,000 homes.
