Music: Victor Jara Manifiesto

Not too long ago this voice was heard – but then silenced by murderers and thugs that have changed the face of this beautiful country for many years.

RIP – Victor – you will never be forgotten – but those who caused your death should be forgotten forever – their lives made never exist – but not their wrong doing and crimes.










From WikiPedia: “…On the morning of September 12, Jara was taken, along with thousands of others, as a prisoner to the Chile Stadium (renamed the Estadio Víctor Jara in September 2003). In the hours and days that followed, many of those detained in the stadium were tortured and killed there by the military forces. Jara was repeatedly beaten and tortured; the bones in his hands were broken as were his ribs. Reports that one of Jara’s hands, or both of his hands, had been cut off, are, however, erroneous. Fellow political prisoners have testified that his captors mockingly suggested that he play guitar for them as he lay on the ground. Defiantly, he sang part of Venceremos…”

    When you are just starting to believe that you have heard all the mind blowing stories about the US military in Iraq, what their contractors do, the enormous corruption and abuse going on at that place and there can’t be anything worse in their closets anymore you see a story like this.
