During the last days Venice, Italy has experienced one of the worst floods for more than 20 years and the water came so quickly that in many areas of the lagoon city no wooden panels could be erected in time. But some are taking advantage of these weather conditions.

Why learn Maths or Physics when surfing the waves does the job?
In France surfing is now officially part of the curriculum for the Baccalaureat (A-Levels / high school diploma). This week the first 43 contestants took their practical and oral tests in south-west France near Bordeaux.
