After the whole company went for a fire sales price to competitor J.P. Morgan many of the Bear Stearns employees that now fear loosing their jobs have started to part themselves from their valued memorabilia of the once highly reputable Wall Street firm.
When you search Ebay for Bear Stearns you will find many items ranging from the typical T-Shirts, coffee mugs, umbrellas and sweaters to more exotic items like 401K enrollment forms, Asset Management hardhats (repackaging risk - very funny), trader’s jackets, the obligatory B.S. Teddy Bear and former Chairmen and CEO Alan C. “Ace” Greenberg’s badge.
Seems like the sell-off has now also reached the Internet.
Very sad, last one out please turn off the lights.
