Images: There’s another world around here

Insects driving scooters or bicycles, skateboarding through a micro world, playing piano, or snails selling their “house”. There’s lots happening in the worlds that Nicholas from Belgium captures in his Flickr sets.

    UK underground artist Banksy who created quite an uproar with his exhibition in L.A. last autumn, has put up a series of high resolution images of his work for download from “his web site”. Banksy, who’s painting are selling for above USD 100,000 lately, seems to have gotten fed up with all those selling pirated prints of his work on eBay. Looks like pirates don’t like to get pirated themselves…

    Since 17 years now a temporary hotel is build from ice every winter in Sweden. The ICEHOTEL is situated in the village Jukkasjärvi, 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle in Sweden. It started off with an Igloo and developed into a hotel with more than 60 rooms and suites each different from the other. With the exception of the beds, the entire hotel is made completely out of ice blocks – even the glasses in the bar are made of ice. The ice is made from water…
