New York: Neighborhood maps

img N.Y. Neighborhood map small There is of course the official neighborhood map from the N.Y.C. Dep. of City Planning that maps the 59 community districts but most New Yorkers have a few more names for their neighborhoods.

There is Hell’s kitchen, the Meat Packing district, the Theater district and many more that are not included in the official maps.

Coming Anarchy that has many more great maps has created the one shown here.

Also have a look at the N.Y.C. Dep. of City Planning map for the whole N.Y.C. area that is available as a PDF file as well.
